CVAP Counselling

Surviving crime changes everything. It can fundamentally shift your view of and relationship with the world around you, bringing up grief, hyper-vigilance and other stressors, emotionally or otherwise. The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) provides financial assistance for counselling services along with other eligible expenses. We offer full application assistance to get you connected with trauma-informed, context-aware support.

ICBC Counselling

Even if your physical injuries seem minor, the emotional and psychological impact from a car accident can be profound. ICBC’s Enhanced Care system covers everyone involved in a motor vehicle accident in BC, regardless of who caused the crash. This includes pre-approved mental health support with recognized providers. We work directly with ICBC to advocate for the care you deserve.

Counselling through Autism Funding BC

When you’re living with autism, you’re constantly required to navigate a world that wasn’t designed with you in mind. You’re advocating at school, explaining your child’s needs to family members who don’t quite get it, and maybe losing sleep wondering if you’re making the right choices. We provide specialized support for individuals and families accessing autism-related counselling services, supporting you and your family in meaningful therapeutic work.

WorkBC Counselling

If you’re accessing WorkBC services, counselling support might be available to help you navigate career transitions, workplace challenges, or barriers to employment. We’re here to support your professional and personal growth journey, acknowledging the impact of capitalism and ableism when it comes to securing sustainable and fulfilling employment opportunities.

Direct Billing & Additional Funders

Most universities and extended health benefits providers cover counselling services rendered by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). However, individual plans differ, so please check with your provider to confirm. If our services are covered and approved for direct billing counselling by your extended health benefits plan – such as those with Pacific Blue Cross, Sunlife, GreenShield, & Canada Life policies – we can try to direct bill your counselling sessions for you.

Please note, insurers accept direct billing on an individual plan basis. That means, even if our services are covered, your particular plan may not allow us to direct bill for you. After your first session, we’ll submit a direct bill request and confirm with you whether or not your plan qualifies.

Our team of counsellors in Vancouver & Port Moody are also registered with various EAP programs. Abby is also registered and approved to provide counselling through FNHA.
