Yoga Teacher & Breath Coach

What does being healthy mean to you? Maybe this has been a balancing act you’ve been trying to resolve for a long time. Or maybe you’ve been in survival mode for so long it’s been hard to take a breath to really consider it. I get it, I’ve been pondering this question for more than 10 years. I think it’s about the mind, the body, and interconnectedness with happiness, community, and fulfilment. That the pillars of health come down to sleep, nutrition, movement, and a good balance between stress and relaxation. Without them, it's hard to feel sustainable fulfilment and energizing vitality. It becomes difficult to maintain the energy levels needed to achieve what’s actually important to you or connect authentically with those around you. Unfortunately, building the consistent habits necessary to maintain the essential pillars of health is hard to do on your own. Fortunately, you don’t have to because I can help you with that.

Over the last 10 years, I struggled with a series of health issues that impeded my quality of life. They ranged from aching flat feet to serious digestive issues to lower back pain to anxiety to sleeplessness. Unfortunately, doctors’ advice was often insufficient or led me in the wrong direction. I kept digging and experimenting and solved or alleviated all these problems one by one. It wasn’t easy and it wasn’t quick. But because of this work, health and fitness became my passion. A passion that led me to yoga because it incorporates the body and the mind. It's not just about flexibility and strength, it’s also about mindfulness and emotional resilience. My goal as a yoga teacher and breath coach is to use what I've discovered to help you gain agency and take control of your health.

What makes me unique in this field is my background in science. I spent the last 10 years at universities studying, researching, and teaching. I apply the same inquisitive, rigorous, analytical, and practical mindset to health and fitness. Only by understanding what causes problems at their root can we truly begin to resolve them. That’s why I only take what actually works in real life and throw out all the rest, remaining open to changing the course of action when presented with new evidence. Through this, I can help you build strong pillars of health so that you create a stable foundation for sustainable fulfilment and authentic connection with those around you.
